Oregon Plant Fair 2010

Growing your own Groceries? The Oregon Plant Fair Gives Garden Answers

Plant Fair 2010GRAB THE GREATEST!
This year, don’t plant the ordinary
This year, your garden will be extraordinary.

ONE DAY ONLY – SATURDAY, MAY 8, 2010,  9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Right before Mother’s Day

The Oregon Plant Fair 2010 celebrates Northwest growers, artists and Master Gardeners on Saturday May 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Alton Baker Park. This year, along with the finest selection of fascinating and unusual plants from Northwest specialty nurseries and exciting artwork for every garden, the Lane County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all garden questions—when to plant, what to plant, how to water, maintain and manage home gardens. If the Obamas can dig up the south lawn at the White House for a vegetable garden, then this is the year to tuck vegetables into home beds as well. The Master Gardeners will share their knowledge of how to get started, how to solve problems specific to the Willamette Valley, and how to keep what is harvested at its freshest goodness.

The Oregon Plant Fair 2010 is presented by Avid Gardeners and the Willamette District Garden Clubs. The one-day only event is sponsored by Eugene Weekly, EWEB, Kendall Subaru, Lane Forest Products, Rexius and Swedish Engineering. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the OSU Extension Service Lane County Master Gardener Program.

Free Admission, Alton Baker Park, Day Island Rd. Eugene, OR.
