Picnic Photos 2008

Twenty Avid Gardeners arrived at Dancing Oaks Nursery on June 8th for our 2nd annual picnic. Considering the never-ending wet spring we’ve experienced and rain the day after, we were treated to a beautiful mid-70’s day. With over an hour to explore the nursery before lunch most participants could be seen filling up plant carts. Salads and desserts, and yes, at least one bottle of wine, were brought by participants. The entrees of marinated chicken breasts and hamburgers were prepared the night before and BBQ’ed for lunch by Bryan and Cassandra Barrett. We were given a personal tour of the display gardens afterward. The day concluded with vehicles stuffed with people and plants. Rumor has it that some, taken over by plant fever, did not arrive home until 8:30!
